"Surprisingly clean and updated rooms. Mattress was better than some places. Entering the facility was awkward. It felt like you were entering a prison (not that I have been in one). You had to use your key card at EVERY SINGLE DOOR (two to enter the front desk area and one more just to get to the hallways where the rooms are). The parking lot was large, but full, this place stays pretty full all of the time. The staff were friendly, but they were not your “typical” hotel staff, they looked a little rough. Nothing ever happened, or was observed, but I have been to places where I felt safer. I would not recommend this place to a solo female traveler, or expensive vehicles.
Big things were it is cheap (word correctly chosen), clean and fairly comfortable. Just remember that this is an extended stay, so you get a motley crew of fellow inhabitants.
One other thing of note. Not all rooms have blackout curtains, so if you work overnight, makes sure you get one that does. Some only have mini blinds and even at night it is still quite bright in the room. "
"It was a bit of a bad experience for me. The toilet and bathroom countertop felt like they were designed for toddler height, they were low. The first time I flushed the toilet, it overflowed and flooded the bathroom. The front desk only offered towels and a plunger (no solid matter btw). Needless to say my first impression was not too high. The mattress was firm and there was a mysterious red stain seen through the dark brown carpet next to the bed. The room was out dated, with several worn in damage spots. (Which concerned me when they wanted a card for incidentals)
Now for a little good. The parking lot was LARGE. Plenty of front of building parking. I don’t remember any foul odors. It felt cleanish, for how old it felt. I did feel safe, as a male who can handle himself.
All in all, it was a 2 1/2 to 3 star place. It didn’t feel like a seedy motel with prostitutes and druggies. It felt like a cheap blue collar hotel, where one can get a little rest for the night. It was slightly overpriced for the state it is in. After staying here, it will not be my first option. There are less outdated and cheaper places that I would choose. "
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Prosser - Yakima Valley Wine by IHG
8/10 Good
"Comfy beds, great fresh breakfast. We were expecting a coffee machine in our room & when mentioned to the front desk, even though they don't supply them any more, she brought one right up when requested! Good handicap parking close to the door. TV didn't work but front desk again came right up to fix it!"
"Room was nicely decorated with good linens however not real functional ie only one bedside table, no side tables for the sofa and the AC was questionable. Breakfast was moderately good. "
"The room and service was outstanding! The food options were really great and room service dining hit all the marks! We should’ve looked closer at the pool as it is not an indoor pool. It is half outdoor and unheated so the kids were a little disappointed in that area but other than that, I highly recommend staying again"
