"This hotel probably has the best location in town. The beach is great, it has 3 pools, includes a buffet breakfast and had some of the most inexpensive drinks we saw in Costa Rica. Our room was ready so they let us check in early which was great. There were however a few things that need improvement. We had no hot water at all aside from one afternoon (we were there 2 nights), we had an oceanfront sunset room and although it was convenient, for the price it should really be updated. Lastly there was very little shade at the main pool. Just a few covered chairs and no umbrella which made it uncomfortable since it was 93 and humid. Overall the property is nice and location was perfect. "

"Hotel is new and clean, room is a bit small but was good for one night to catch our early flight in the morning. Check in was quick pool area looked wonderful. Good selection of restaurants next door to grab a bite. And best is the hotel airport shuttle make sure you rebook your seat though! "

"The amenities offered are not actually available. There is no water slide, no life guard, no beach bar, no ball for basketball court, no arcade. It says there are 2 restaurants, there are zero restaurants just a buffet that is very basic. We were expecting more because of what was in the ad. The resort is outdated but clean. The views from the pools are great. "

"Butler service was disappointing and should be avoided. Excursions (especially snorkeling) were oversold and underwhelming. Some staff (Edu, Dylan and Diane) were great but others didn’t really provide a five star experience or understand top class service. Lovely black sand beach and fun pool with cabanas and mixology…. TV service jumpy… too many electrical issues like lights and elevators. Still a great place and lots of fun but would not return."

"Spacious and clean room, large tv, balcony overlooking the pool; large pool with swim up bar, 3 dining options; amazing location. Wonderful staff. This stay far exceeded our expectations. I was hesitant as I hadn't stayed AI for a few years. We were a group of 3 families with three 17 yr old seniors having their last HS spring break before they all head off to college. All inclusive for the teens to grab a bite to eat whenever they wanted was ideal and on paper, Margaritaville looked a great option. In the end, This break was perfect for them. One activity per day off site and then return to resort for an excellent steak sandwich and fries or taco was perfect! A clean pool and fantastic beach a minute from resort was amazing. The new Marina development a few mins walk away also gave us somewhere off site to have a choice if we wanted to eat or drink elsewhere. My son scuba dives and to be able to walk to OceanConnect was perfect. The hotel also arranged transportation for the 8 of us which took around 1 hour 20 mins from Liberia airport. Thanks to all at the hotel - you were wonderful. "

"If you have four pools you would think they have close bathrooms to the pool area.not good and to fair to walk.you had to go to the lobby or to a bldg quiet fair away to fine a bathroom.also no cover on beach know umbrellas or canapés so if you did not fine a tree you are in the sun all day.also around he pool the red tile was very hot but in some pass in white so you don’t burn your feet."
