"I would highly recommend staying at Guanacaste Lodge! It is a simple, older property that you can see is very well maintained. The room and property are extremely clean and comfortable. The hostess is very sweet and helpful and the breakfast is super! There is no shade at the pool or lounge chairs in midday so be prepared for extremely hot! There are covered tables for picnic. Super close to Playa Flamingo and very good food. Ate at the Tiki and Pleamar, both very good food & service and very close to the lodge."

"This hotel has a great location, right on the beach. There are no loungers,umbrella rentals or public restrooms on Potrero Beach so being at the hotel you have all of that. The water there is calm, great for swimming. Similar to many places in Costa Rica there were some plumbing issues, plugged toilet and plugged shower drain but maintenance fixed it right away and we were fine for the rest of the stay. It is clean, the buffet breakfast is good. You can order an omelette in addition to what is set out. Food is very expensive in Costa Rica so we filled up at breakfast then didn’t eat until supper. I would definitely return. "

"Beautiful boho style hotel. Great communication from start to finish. Walking distance from many restaurants and market. Definitely need transportation to get to Flamingo beach. Will definitely be back. "

"We arrived at the condo absolutely thrilled — the view is spectacular and was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the price point. There are two pools, but both have very old wooden loungers with no cushions, and the unit itself doesn’t provide loungers either, which makes it hard to relax comfortably. Housekeeping came through but didn’t restock basics like toilet paper. They suggested we buy our own. The beds were quite hard, and the unit is very bright and noisy at night, which made sleeping difficult. Communication from management focused heavily on upselling services, yet when we needed practical support, the answers were consistently unhelpful. It’s a beautiful location with incredible views, but the comfort and service fell short of expectations. We wouldn’t choose to stay here again."
