"They picked me up at the Ferry. The hotel was away from the town (about a 1/4 mile)and hikers so it was quiet. the beach was close for relaxing and had everything you needed for your comfort. The property owners and service workers were very helpful and kind! It is very hot there and the AC works wonderfully . I had a nice stay. My room was not the one I had made on booking, but was comfortable with lots of room and a kitchenette and I could see the coast and because it was on the back west side I assume a lot cooler than what I had arranged , which would have been right in the Sun. Jorge was right, and always a very kind and helpful Man! I went fishing off the dock but caught nothing - later I went snorkeling and it appears that there are no fish except a few wrassells and one small crab and all the rocks were bleached white like a dead reef. I walked the beach back to town and there was nothing to suggest you were at the beach no shells no sea grass not even many sticks or dead things (No floura or fauna which is typical of life on the ocean.)I’ve been to black sand beaches before but not one like this, where there was Nothing."

"Breakfast was amazing. The room felt new and modern, and was impeccably cleaned every day. I enjoyed the location right across the street from the beach, and close to all the shops in Plakias. I would not pay for the sea view patio again, as it was mostly a view of people’s roofs, unlike the photos online. The staff was so nice on check-in. They sat down with us and gave us fresh lemonade, which we appreciated. Later on, I had a few simple questions for the front desk and got responses from staff that were irritable and even condescending. Maybe everyone was in a bad mood since it had been raining, but in the weeks we traveled, it happened three times there, and nowhere else."

"Stayed in the split level rooms. Rather dated and a little overpriced . Stay in the new wing overlooking the pool and ocean for a better experience and value. We asked to change room and it wasn’t an issue. The access to a free washing machine was a great touch. Great service and friendly staff."

"Very nice resort, with beautiful views of the town, sea, and mountains. Many pools if you ever get tired on the sand at the beach. Beach chairs provided, which was very nice. Location is basically beach side, and about 10 min walk into town, or a 2 minute drive. Rooms were clean, and the shower was enormous!"

"This might have been my favorite stay in crete. the room was nice enough, but the overall place was just stunning. Opening my door to the most perfect private cove on the south side of crete was heaven...take me back. The resturant attached was also exceptional and convenient!"
