The best apartment in Porto

This is one of if not the best place we’ve stayed at over the years. The location cannot be beat. It’s right at the heart of Porto. Everything is walking distance. We stayed in the apartment with a great view of Porto Cathedral which is less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The owners Liliana and Carlos were so warm and friendly. They let us store our luggage before check in and gave lots of suggestions on what to see and do in and around Porto. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our 2 night stay. I enjoyed the port wine that they left in the apartment for us. There’s a bakery right next door and restaurants less than a hundred feet from the front door. We enjoyed sitting out in the balcony listening to street performers just around the corner while eating Pasteis de nata and watching the gorgeous view of colourful buildings and the cathedral at nighttime. We walked everywhere as this place is so central to all tourist spots. We will definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and family who are planning to visit Porto next year. Thank you Liliana and Carlos for the wonderful hospitality. Obrigado!

A Wonderful Apartment in Porto

This is a lovely apartment in the old part of Porto. I mean "old" as in the beautiful, historic part. It is on the front of the building facing the street with many tall windows and balconies. The street is quiet but there is a great view as the building is slightly elevated. It is very close to the river and the pedestrian mall but without the noise. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and dishes. The appliances seem new. The bathroom is large and the shower works well. It is a spacious and light filled space. My daughter slept on the sofa bed and that was comfortable. The bedding was fine. The only slight drawback was that the bed is a double so if you are larger size the bed seems small. Other than that this is a perfect apartment for a visit to Porto. And the hosts are just lovely people, kind and considerate.

Written by David's wife Mary: Absolutely loved our stay. Would stay again in a heartbeat. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The two of us stayed on the first floor (2nd floor if from the US) in the apt on the street side. Loved looking out at the street, not too noisy. Apartments at this location are all different. In an excellent location, in the middle of everything. Liliana and Carlos were so nice! They were extremely helpful with lots of good tips for restaurants and, most importantly, for navigating the roads when we had our rental car for a day. Their English is excellent. Our bags were misplaced by Lufthansa and arrived the next day. After booking the apt, I suggest noting the street address (use numbers 39-40, not just 39) to have at airport for delivery. Also ask Liliana for her phone number. We didnt have either and it greatly complicated getting our bags.
