Ideally located to explore Porto, the hotel is a small but very welcoming stay in the city. Up the hill above the centre it is easily within reach of all the major sites. Good quality hotel with a good breakfast provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful

We loved our stay in room 11, which spans the front of this beautiful old house. Creative architecture keeps the high decorative ceilings visible while adding modern amenities. Breakfast was nice and the on-site manager was lovely.

Super friendly and helpful staff! There was a major event in the area the day of our arrival. They warned us about the Situation a few days ahead. We were able to get there early that day before check in and the room was all ready and available before the actual check in time. The breakfast area is superb also the small terrace in the back! I hardly recommend this place! Would return anytime!!

A real gem. The guesthouse is full of character, has been tastefully renovated and our room was very spacious and well appointed. Great buffet style breakfast with heaps of choice, lots of fresh pastries, breads, fruit etc. Maria was delightful and super helpful. The guesthouse is in a great location. It's in a fun neighborhood with lots of bars, restaurants and quirky little shops within striking distance and easy to walk down into the centre of Porto, to the Metro etc. All in all it was perfect. Thank you.

Good position but lots of traffic noise.

Very well positioned accommodation, only 5 x minutes walk from Trindade metro station which is on the direct metro line from the airport. The area seems a bit run down but actually is fine and there are a few bars/restaurants along the street if you don't always want to go into central Porto for dinner etc. Very nice welcome when we arrived and the building is lovely and traditional and well decorated as was our room. Breakfast was also great, a good selection of breads/fruit/yoghurts etc attended by a lovely lady called Talitia? the main problem for us was the noise, our room was on the front of the hotel so I would think a room at the back would be much quieter. the road isn't busy but it is cobbled so any traffic is very loud and only a few feet away from the bedroom windows which have no sound insulation even with shutters closed so we were woken pretty early in the morning once traffic started. The sound insulation throughout the house is limited so when there was a child staying on the floor below and crying/screaming/singing early in the morning this was also very annoying and didn't hep us to have a lie in.. Our shower also leaked a lot so hand towels were all totally soaked with mopping the water up which is not great as the floor was then quite slippery.

Logement propre, agréable et calme au cœur de Porto. Maria et Sofia sont des hôtes très chaleureuses, donnant toutes les informations nécessaires pour se déplacer et visiter, leurs conseils nous ont été précieux. De plus elle préparent un petit déjeuner excellent pour bien démarrer la journée. Un hébergement que je recommande.

Pas de fenêtre dans la chambre

Maria est vraiment adorable. La chambre est propre. Attention, pour la chambre en mezzanine il n'y a pas de fenêtre. 1 vemux en haut mais avec vue sur un mur. La chambre est très sombre et très petite.

Sehr schön renoviertes altes Haus, geschmackvolle Einrichtung, modernes Badezimmer. Das Stadtzentrum und die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war liebevoll zubereitet und für portugiesische Verhältnisse geradezu oppulent. Wir haben die Unterkunft bereits weiterempfohlen.

Excellent séjour à Porto

Un très bon séjour entre amis dans cette belle adresse au calme mais proche du centre, des transports. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et servis dans une agréable salle. Maria nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et nous a apporté de bons conseils pour découvrir sa ville. La chambre était très confortable.

Questa deliziosa casa nel cuore si Porto ci ha accolti con tanta cura e attenzione. Portovillage Guest House è una esperienza di alloggio perfetta, pulitissima e molto curata. Très bon séjour ! Maria qui nous a reçus est formidable! Elle nous conseillé les itinéraires et les endroits à aller voir! La chambre est très jolie et confortable! Une hauteur sous un plafond magnifiquement décoré de au moins 4mètres ! Très pratique pour venir de l'aéroport et très central! Nous y reviendrons d'autres fois

The breakfast was amazing and the owner of the guesthouse was really nice. Normally, the reception opens at 08:30, but they let us in earlier because our plans arrived early in the morning. The centre of the city is really close by and there are many nice restaurants near the guesthouse.
