I really loved staying at Porto Cinema Apartments! The gents who checked me in at the hostel were most helpful - thank you! (It’s a short but uphill walk to the apartments from the hostel).
The studio I was in looked just like the photos - spacious, fairly new looking decor, well equipped kitchen with appliances & pans, glassware, etc.
My room looked out over the square at the front of Santo Ildefonso church, I loved hearing the bells in throughout the day (9am to 7pm over summer). You hear a bit of street noise but with the windows and shutters closed, it blocks out a lot.
The location is fantastic, it’s a short walk to: Sao Bento train station, Batalha where the No.22 tourist tram starts / ends, lots of food options, a Minipreco supermarket, Praça da Liberdade where a lot of walking tours start, Cafe Santiago for the best Francesinha (the beloved Porto-style sandwich), shopping on Rua de Santa Caterina.
I’d highly recommend staying here and I would gladly return.
