We stayed at the Harbor Inn in Matosinhos for 8 days in February. Sara is the best host! She made sure we were taken care of. We had a nice, spacious 2 room suite with a balcony. Breakfast included at the restaurant was listed as Continental breakfast, but was more like all you could ever want. Fresh rolls, pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, eggs, juice and coffee. Restaurant staff were welcoming. Short walk to the beach, and plenty of nearby restaurants. Short walk into town center, easy bus ride to Porto. Parking on the street below was free - unusual for the area.

The property was beautifully decorated and a fabulous location. I highly recommend although if you want a spacious room ensure you request not to be in room 5.. it’s in the eves and not for anyone over 6ft.. That wouldn’t deter us from going back and recommending this gem of a hotel.

The beach is about 1 block away. Very quiet neighborhood with dining options with 5 min walk. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom.

Sara And the property were terrific. Sara was there to greet us. She helped with check-in and calling cabs. She even left breakfast for us because our flight was leaving early. I would definitely recommend this property!

Having read the reviews I thought they were too good to be true but I was wrong. Fantastic hosts, beautiful property, lovely rooms particularly the bathrooms. Very good breakfast. Lots of good restaurants within five minutes walk. Easy options to get into Porto by bus or metro. Close to the airport and right on the beach. We will certainly return.

I absolutely LOVED my stay at Harbour Inn! I wish I could have stayed longer. Sara and Paula and the other girls working there were so welcoming, kind and friendly, and went above and beyond to care for me and endure I had a wonderful stay! They even leave fresh baked goods out every day for the guests! Unbelievable for any accommodation. The room was beautifully designed and decorated, smelled softly like fresh roses when I opened my door each day, and the bed was super comfortable. Beautiful amenities and provision of luxe soaps/shampoo etc which were appreciated after the airport disposed of mine :p I truly can’t wait to visit Porto and the Design Inn again- and will highly recommend this place to all my loved ones and people visiting Porto. I was able to easily walk everywhere I needed to, and always felt safe as a solo female traveler entering and exiting the building.

This is such a cute boutique style Inn. When you check into your room you are greeted with a small bottle of wine and a chocolate treat. The nautical theme is appropriate since the beach is just steps away. They’re in walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Joana the host is such a lovely person and helped in arranging transportation for me in the morning. 5 start recommend!!

Dit hotel lag heerlijk dicht bij het strand. Het hotel kom je in met een code en zo ook de kamer. Paula stond ons op te wachten om even kennis te maken. Kamers waren top. Geen slot op de badkamerdeur, maar was voor ons niet erg. Dicht bij het strand en er hing een hele gezellige sfeer. Vooraf waren wij bang voor geluiden van het industrieterrein, maar echt geen last van gehad. De taxi’s waren goedkoop om overal te komen. Wij waren met 4 personen, dus de taxi overal heen nemen was goedkoper dan het ov. Het ontbijt zat inbegrepen en je hoefde maar te zitten en ze brachten alles. Elke ochtend nieuwe soorten fruit, toast, stokbrood, ham, kaas, jam, yoghurt met cornflakes, just orange en noem maar op. Zeker een aanrader!

Great accommodation, very stylish and comfortable. Couldn’t get in on arrival as we didn’t receive the entry code in time, (not sure whether this was due to the hotel or hotel.com platform). Only took 10 mins to sort this out.
