"En arrivant, le réceptionniste nous dit qu’il n y a aucune réservation à mon nom. J’ai du me justifier en lui prouvant notre réservation. Chambre au Rez près de l’entrée et la route , nous n’avons pas pu dormir de la nuit sans compter les gaz des véhicules qui suffoquaient la chambre. Au matin Enza très aimable nous sert un déjeuner simple.., nous lui disons que nous nous absenterons deux nuits car nous visitons la région… à notre retour en ouvrant la chambre , quelle surprise !!!! "This is a beautiful property right in the heart of Otranto. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the harbour and breakfast was varied and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a real treat to stay here. The golf cart to assist with luggage from the free parking (a 10 minute park) was a bonus."

"We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and beautifully restored masseria just outside Otranto. The setting is serene, surrounded by olive groves and close to the coast, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. One of the highlights of our visit was the fish set menu – fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt authentically Salento. According to one interpretation Porto Badisco was the first landing of Aeneas, described in Virgil's Aeneid: the hero would make a stopover here on his trip to Italy after fleeing from Troy. In Porto Badisco there is also the "Grotta dei Cervi", a cave which contains important drawings made with bat guano dating to the Neolithic period and is characterized by numerous ravines and coves of exceptional beauty. In Direction Santa Caesarea-Castro-Leuca, furthermore, there is the so-called "Grotta delle Striare", that is, the witches' cave, characteristic for entry crossed diagonally by a tongue of rock. Since October 2006, part of the territory of Otranto is part of the Leuca Otranto-Santa Maria Coast Park and Tricase Forest, established by the Region of Puglia in order to safeguard the east coast of Salento, rich in precious architectural monuments and important species animals and plants.
