January is usually 32 degrees and below so seeing temps hit the upper 50s and low 60s last week was a bit of a shock to the system. Next time you say, make sure to book one of the rooms with the en suite bathrooms if you think you'd enjoy that more. Although all the guest bathrooms are private, two of them are across the hallway from the bedrooms and is marked in the room descriptions and in all our pre-arrival information. We hope to host you again in the future!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your experience at The Chadwick! Two of our four rooms do have their private bathrooms across the hall from the room. The nice part is that since the only common area is the hallway, you rarely even bump into another guest. If you stay in The Baxter, it is literally a step across the hall that no one except those staying in the room ever even sees down. You're right though... we want everyone to feel comfortable at The Chadwick, so if crossing the hall isn't your cup of tea, we do recommend one of our en-suite rooms. Thanks again!

Having great Wi-Fi is essential when your traveling as far as we're concerned! It has taken us a few years to get it perfect throughout the house but now, everyone could be streaming and no one would even know. We're glad you enjoyed your stay!

We just noticed this review that we never responded to! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. All the bed and breakfasts in Portland are located in the West End--the most desirable neighborhood to live in. It is quiet yet close to many of the city attractions. Within a 10 minute walk, there are over 20 restaurants to choose from and within a few more minutes, many, many, more. We have a list of our favorites in our "Things to Do" section of our website and in the dining guide found in the living room.
