When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. Called their number multiple times, took over a half hour to get someone to show up. Finally got to the room, the security lock on the door had no latch, the shower was disgusting and leaking. The bed smelled and had lots of curly hairs in it. I would never stay here again

It was close to the Castle area where I needed to be early for a meeting. Dumpster pick up at 4 Am was unexpected .

Very quiet, nice rooms, very nice property owner and front staff. Awesome bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Was easy to check in even late into the night.

There was an infestation of bugs in all corners of the ceiling of the room and a roach was on the counter of the kitchenette.

The property itself was clean and hospitable. Honestly, had the quietest night’s sleep in a long time at a motel. The area neighboring the inn was a little questionable. Nothing weird happened just kept us on alert.

Love the mountain view rooms!
I like this little spot. It is always clean- really clean! And the mountain view rooms are really pretty. They have 3 windows for viewing. The leaves were just gorgeous in Fall. The double queen with mountain view is a large room and a perfect spot to stay if visiting Wesleyan-about 10 minutes over the bridge. No frills but really clean and comfy.

Unfortunately this property didn’t meet my expectations of cute and quirky. The hotel seems to cater to people in recovery and people trying to rejoin society. The reception was vacant most of the time. The first room we were assigned did not have functioning lights, had a hole in the wall and smelled of cigarette smoke and strong cleaning solutions. When I complained we were given a much better room, however the smell of the cleaning agent was overwhelming that I needed to open a window for fresh air, thankfully the weather allowed me to do so.

When we checked in we went in room, placed our things down and found drug paraphernalia on a top shelf. We advise front desk and they moved us to another room right away. Second room was perfect but finding that was a little upsetting.

Filthy, Cockroaches and Run Down.
Very dirty, cockroach in bathroom, hair everywhere, run down. We asked to have our room changed hoping for a cleaner space, the room was just as dirty. We were in town for a wedding and there was no other hotel option or we would have immediately left.

Solana Inn worth the price I paid
I like the Solano Inn alot. It is low key service wise, but im not one to mind that. The scenery surrounding is very nice. The room was very spacious and not excessively furnished. There is no AC but lots of window ventilation. One complaint would be a lack of connection to free wifi, but when considering the price and other benefits i suppose thats a minimal problem

Shirlee stay at Solano for her niece's wedding
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the Solano. The place is delightful. My room was wonderful and very clean and well maintained. I stayed in Room 54.... beautiful windows in the back of the Inn all facing the woods. It was lovely. The room was large and had everything I needed. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely stay there again.

There was never anyone at the desk. There is a gross smell throughout the building. Lack of hot water in the shower, no soap, tissues and could not get extra toilet paper. I would not recommend this inn!

Need better window coverings. The ones in our rooms were very thin and see through. Also the smell of Pinesol was so strong, it would take your breath. Trying to figure out what they were trying to cover up with using it so strong. We rented 3 rooms. Two were just OK, however the 3rd room needed to ask for their bathroom to be cleaned again due to hair and an unidentified lump of something in the tub. Hair all on floor. Would not use Solano Inn again.

the property is clearly being rehabbed but is not finished. I had no clock, mirror, towel hook/ rack, shower curtain, extra pillows or blankets in my room. The bathroom walls had gross smears of bugs and IDK what on the wall and the fixtures in the ceiling were not finished/ left holes gaping. I was on the lower level (aka basement) and the room was noticeably damp; so much so that my shirt did not dry when left over the shower rack for 15 hours. The hallway reeked of cigarettes and the building itself is left unlocked and unstaffed over night (call someone's cell and they will come over for an emergency). I won't stay there again.

Nice new clean room. Outside needed some love. Quite a few long term people there. Only complaint was the noise from the unit above. Could hear every step they took. Looks like they are working on cleaning up the units.
