A lovely old hotel. We had a fabulous room, very big and comfortable. Large bathroom with a good shower and lovely toiletries. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and that was delicious.

Disappointed
We are 70 years old and we were on the third floor and no elevator…..nowhere do I recall I would have to climb three flights of stairs with an injured leg. It is very much in need of upgrading and the cost per night, I won’t even go there. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately, this means we are unable to install an elevator. Your insights, however, shed light on the importance of providing clearer information about our facilities, and we will certainly take this into consideration for future guests.We value your input on the need for upgrading, and we assure you that your comments will be shared with our management team. In the meantime, we are updating our website to better communicate the unique aspects of our heritage property, including the absence of an elevator and that we offer all guests assistance with their luggage free of charge. Loved our stay, would definitely recommend!!
We loved our room, the Executive Suite. Had everything we needed and possibly the best view in Portland ❤️ Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. The staff were really friendly and we loved the history and detail of the building. The menu choice in the dining room was very good and the meals we had were delicious!!

Accommodation is attached to hotel and the rooms and furniture are dated. We stayed on Level 2 (stairs access only) but all guest movement could be heard through the ceiling. Location whilst centrally located was great, traffic noise was very noticeable.
