Location was good for Portland attractions. There was a problem with our room which was quickly sorted with the staff. Its a large old house quite dark and cold in the winter. Probably a better summer venue.
Location was great for my event at WPNSA, and right by Chiswell beach. Breakfast was also good. Decor is not the most modern but perfectly functional. Windows were totally smeared by salt, but in fairness I suppose that must be a losing battle so close to the sea, and my room was street facing so I wasn't missing much.
Pros- parking and easy to find
Cons- The room was not clean/ windowms were really dusty and saw a spider net in the window. the rooms aren't en suite and the bed are not comfortable. for 75/night not so sure.
We stayed for one night as a family of three. From start to finish everything was excellent . We were met on arrival and given all the information we needed plus advice on the local area. Our room was very clean and spacious . The hotel is very well decorated throughout and the owners work hard to make sure you have a good stay . Would definitely recommend, great value for money .
Thank you
Lovely one night stay. Room clean and breakfast was lovely. Only downside which is no fault of the beach house is the noise from seagulls and the passing traffic throughout night. But i did have the window open due to the heat. I would stay here again as its a pleasent stay.

The Beach House met my expectations and more good valve.
The room was very dusty to the point we could not stop sneezing. The windows need a clean, the showerhead fell off when we turned the shower on so we had to hold it to shower ourselves. We had a terrible night sleep, the road is extremely noisy, the house echoes so you can hear everything going on around you in the other rooms. Somewhere nearby decided to blast some music at 1am. Theres a musty smell that lingers. When we arrived for a quick 1 night stay, the owner told hubby we had not booked for 2 children however Expedia confirmation clearly states we had. We did not have breakfast as after such a bad nights sleep, could not wait to get home so left super early.
Everything was fantastic, beds were very comfortable. All areas well looked after and clean. Not suitable for disabled customers that I could see. Breakfast was lovely, with cereal options for my little one. Helpful and friendly staff. Thank you for a great nights sleep!
Don't be put off by the external appearance on a busy road (quiet at night btw), inside it is clean, bright with spacious, well equiped rooms. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms at the back are really quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.
