This property is much more of a hostel than a hotel. Our room was relatively nice, but there were problems. The water took a long time to heat and on the first day was barely lukewarm. When shower was warm enough there was very low pressure. The breakfast was poor quality with few choices of old fruit, two kinds of cereal; and grocery store mini cupcakes ; only the yogurt was something I would choose to eat. The parking was kind of a disaster- two options of nearby parking were given, one of which did not work. Both were further away than described. It feels like more of an effort to stay there than it was interesting or comfortable.

For us the Clyde's main attraction was its location one block from Powells Books, but this also means close to lots of good restaurants and cafes, including the coffee shop downstairs. The room was cute, clean, and very comfortable; we slept well and the room was a good temperature. We also loved being located right on two streetcar lines and a short walk from the train, which allowed us to get to both Ikea and Forest Park easily. Great staff too-- cheerful, helpful, and courteous. We can't wait to stay there again. We came by plane and then train, so we didn't deal with parking.

Original booking was for The Ace hotel. We were advised that Kasa had taken over, however we were not advised that the standard of hotel group was more backpacker than quality traveller. We were also not advised that there would be no staff/facilities and all services were virtual. It was certainly not a deluxe superior room for which we paid £320.00@night. The experience was so bad due to noise, neighbourhood and no staff on site that we felt unsafe. Additionally there was no proper security in the room. For these reasons we had no option but to leave and find at short notice on a Friday night a safer hotel. A totally awful experience and Expedia although they advised us of the change of operator did not advise us of the lower category of hotel or the significantly lower room rate of approximately $127.

I loved the room that I had. The old claw foot bathtub was amazing to soak in and relax. The room was quirky. I really enjoyed the decoration and the black and white color pallet. I love how close it is to Powells book store. The only thing I would say was a drag was the cost of parking, but that is the city and not the hotel. So if you can, use a ride share when staying there.

Interesting property. Oozes history, which is nice. Maid services on demand and front desk/self check is something to get used to. Nice location and my room was excellent! Right across the street is a living room style movie theater, which I enjoyed. Would definitely come back next time in Portland. Value 10/10

This was an interesting stay. The building has been repurposed as a hotel, so it has some quirks such as a panel blocking the glass on the door. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was ok. There are a lot of in houses people roaming the area around the hotel.

The lobby is great: it feels as “Portland” as you could imagine. The room had the charm of a prison cell. I don’t need 7 emails and 10 texts just to check and out of a hotel.

Property is true Downtown Portland. You can come and go as you like without having to interact with front desk or other staff. There is a door code for night and it’s open in the day. Community room is comfortable with room for multiple groups of people. Lots of live plants. Cozy environment. Room was clean and comfortable. Our new favorite place to stay in Downtown.
