"I booked a beach view room, but I was thoroughly disappointed. The beach view rooms were located outside the main hotel, making it feel like I was in a completely different establishment. I was on the second floor and had no elevator access. Parking was limited, so most days, I had to trek through a trench to reach my room.
On our first day, after showering, the fire alarm in our room blared. It took an eternity to get in touch with the front desk. I called them six times before they finally answered. When they arrived, a man removed the entire fire alarm device from the wall and left it without an alarm.
The room was in disarray, with dirty sheets and a balcony door that almost dislocated my shoulder when I tried to open or close it. The beach view was limited, and we couldn’t walk the room without shoes because the carpet was covered in dirt.
The toilet was leaking due to a lack of caulking, so we had to change rooms after two days. The ice machines on our side of the hotel were out of order, so we had to walk across to get ice.
I was informed that we would have a microwave in the room, but it was missing. The so-called game room smelled like mildew and dirty carpet. The hot tubs were filled with debris every day because they were never cleaned. The overall appearance of the hotel was rundown and cheap.
On one breakfast, I had a terrible experience. The restaurant automatically counted my two 13-year-olds as adults, resulting in a bill of $120."
"That the grilling area was separate than the pool area the grilling area was not enclosed everyone that was passing coukd see us grilling. The people made fun of us."
"This was our first time staying here and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and modern the inside of the hotel looks. We had beach and pool access since the morning so we were able to enjoy the beach and amenities before check in. Check in process was very easy, staff was very helpful and nice! The food was good, not the best but not the worst. Only complaint would be the keycards would sometimes not work great at unlocking the door and we would have to try multiple times before the door would open. But besides that it was a great hotel and would definitely come back!"
"We had a 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen. It was fabulous! Beach access was great, easy to rent chairs & umbrellas too. Food and drink was nice and not over priced. The only ding was online they said they have a gym and they don’t. We were told it was being renovated and the bell guy said they lost their agreement with the Sapphire next door. Anyway we found a EXCELLENT GYM in town for $25/day Island Fitness. So all went well."
"I wanted a balcony, paid extra for it and my view was a building. Who pays for balcony to look at a building? That shouldn't be considered an upgraded room. We had a leak in our room wet towels everywhere. I had to stand around and wait to get a table for breakfast. Not enough room for the size of hotel. The locals, large groups with coolets, came in the evenings to swim. Gates were never locked.I will not stay at this place again."

"I’m picky and this hotel is immaculate! Super clean and fresh feeling. The staff was amazing and accommodating. There is a close walkable beach that’s great too. Nice gym and pool area. Located in a nice area too. Highly recommended!!"
"My wife and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. All of the staff was wonderfully efficient and fast to resolve what we needed. We totally enjoyed everything about our stay! We will definitely stay at The Sand Rose again!"
