"Perfect location, close to all the activities from dining to a 15 minute ferry ride over to Put in Bay or 20 minutes from Cedar Point. The Hotel is right on the water so definitely book a water view room! Awsome if you like to ride bikes or walk. Heads up if your planning on spending most of your time at the beach....it is NOT pleasant do to dead fish (dead fish not the issue) the SMELL is not pleasant if your trying to hang out on the beach. Beautiful park in front of the beach though! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck waterfront watching the boats and activity in the evenings. For cost effectiveness if your going to ride the Ferry over...leave your vehicle! $82 round trip for vehicles, we did not plan on using our bikes on the island but had nowhere to leave them so they charged us for them as well. Its only $18/person round trip! You can rent a golf cart on the island from Ernies for only $65 for the day! (Best pricing!) That was so much fun! Hope this helps someone out w/their budget 😊"

"I stayed at this hotel with my 3 teenage kids for one night to break up a long drive. I chose it specifically because of its proximity to the amusement park (it really is a brief 8-10 minute drive). The hotel is basic and clean, but I think it's very important to note that if you book this hotel through Expedia, you DO NOT qualify for the special rates at the park. The hotel's website does a terrible job of making this clear, so we booked our stay thinking we could get the discounted rates for park tickets. Unfortunately, at check-in I found out that this was not true. There were no luxuries (like available bottled water at the registration desk), and most amenities were an additional charge. If you're looking for a basic stay at a clean, convenient place, this is just fine. Staff was friendly, but not accommodating."

"Such a wonderful staff !! Everyone so friendly and helpful. A huge benefit this property offers is free shuttle service. Obviously you need to tip your driver If you like to have some adult beverages this is a great service! Good breakfast also included. Will definitely go back next year"
