"It was our second time at Maistra Funtana. And we have already booked for next year, again. A very well organized and very good managed hotel. It should deserve at least 4*. Tasty food, clean and recently renovated rooms, a lovely pool kids pool and a nice beach with a lot of included sports offerings. "We had great experiences at other Valamar hotels but this one was a big disappointment. During our stay, there was construction work that started at 7:00 in the morning. It was just too loud and woke up my son early everyday. Also, during this period, obviously a world wrestling gulag at the hotel (https://www.myporec.com/en/what-to-do/events/27715) and there were a lot of wrestlers staying. The hotel should have either informed us of this event or simply closed it for other guests. The hallway was filled with hanging laundries (training wears) and there was too much testosterone at the entire hotel which didn’t create a family friendly environment. Even the gaming room was occupied by the wrestlers in the evening and children couldn’t use it. Lastly, the guest room is quite dated as mentioned in other reviews. The guest room pictures on Expedia must be rendering images and are not real… "
