We have stayed in several locations whilst making our road trips and Boulogne Sur Mer has become our preferred place to enjoy a last evening on the Mainland! Aux Charmes has been a great find. It is in a quiet Cul De Sac, yet a very short drive to Boulogne, and equally the A16 motorway. Even I, as a Scotsman did not mind the fact that we had to pay a toll before the free section to Calais. "We were only there for a few hors due to onward travelling. Ideal situation for us and staff were great and friendly. Good local restaurants in walking distance as well. "

"Le Flobart is a jewel of a find. Perfect, low-key and characterful. Very clean and comfortable. Windows of our room opened-out to the road below pleasantly busy with the passing locals and to a view of the sea, including the remains of the sea-fort ruins. Check-in and check-out were effortless. The long, wide and empty sandy beach is literally just across the street. We missed enjoying Le Flobart's cuisine this time, but look forward to trying it next time. For us it is the ideal off-season...
