"This is a relatively new, beautifully furnished hotel in a central location on the Swan River next to the University of Western Australia (UWA). Our room faced the river, had a nice balcony, well-designed space, plenty of storage, and a nice large bathroom. The open-air hallways in our wing provided plenty of fresh air. Breakfast options were numerous and tasty, though the dining area seemed understaffed over the long Easter weekend. Free access to the UWA gym across the street was a welcome bonus."

"The establishment is reasonably new and I would expect everything to be working well; I was not disappointed. On top of that, the staff were friendly, and knowledgeable and well presented. Continental breakfast was included with our stay and it was good quality. I paid extra for parking, and it was convenient and felt secure. The room, the though not large, was well presented and comfortable. I always take my laptop with me but there was no desk which is something I would like to see included. Otherwise, I I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. "

"Hougoumont Hotel is a little gem of an inn centrally located in Fremantle. I could easily walk wherever I needed to go within 15 minutes. My room was small but clean and modern looking. The staff were very friendly and replaced my lost access card in a snap. I highly recommend them! "

"No bar no cutlery no bottle opener or corkscrew but wine glasses no spare blankets or pillows coffee undrinkable no lounge despite huge room only one armchair despite double bed "

"Old musty overpowering smell in room, windows and window grills & sills filthy. Noise and car pollution from adjacent highway meant windows could not remain open to freshen the room. Very old property in desperate need of refurbishment. "
