"Hotel Split is a beautiful modern hotel with amazing views over the Adriatic Sea, especially the sunsets. The staff could not do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, due to it being so early in the season, there were some issues with air conditioning, the safe etc, which they weren't able to resolve, so they upgraded us to two lovely superior rooms. "Overall a great hotel and helpful staff. Pros: clean, modern, lots of amenities. Excellent beach across the street. Has parking. We really enjoyed our stay. Cons: it is about15-20 min drive to Split, but in the morning it took us over an hour to reach Split. This is due to only 1 road that crosses the river and its lights flash amber (no traffic control). This was consistent over the 3 days we passed by the area. "Biggest disappointment is realizing this hotel does not have restaurant, and breakfast can be purchased at nearby hotel for 12 euro for adults and kids both. This if find rather expensive for Croatia. However, stay was very pleasant, weather even too hot, but this is normal for August. Stobrec road is always blocked, so count 15-45 minute stalls if traveling in Split direction. "
