Water did not work right in sinks of our three rooms. Elevator was quite dirty. Breakfast offerings very limited. To top it off when one of us had to leave one day early we could NOT get either the property or Expedia to reduce our bill by one room one night. Terrible policy and blaming each other did not help.

When my husband and i arrived, the manager and a desk clerk were behind the desk. My husband specifically asked the manager if the hot tub was working and the manager was evasive and said, "as far as i know". We had driven over 8 hrs from NY to this hotel in Indiana, on our way to Northern Wisconsin, and my husband wanted nothing more than a soak in the hot tub. We got to our room and it was very warm, so we tried to turn the AC on, but the air didnt seem to be cooling. We decided to go get somethign to eat and come back and see if it cooled down. After an hour, we returned and it was still very warm so we told the manager and he moved us to another room with a working AC unit. My husband channged into his trunks and went down to the pool area and was EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted with what he found. The "hot" tub would not warm up. The jets worked but the water was ice cold. He waited several minutes to see if it would warm and it did not. He was going to try the pool, but there was a slimy film on the top of the water, and what could only be described as some kind of green substance, (possibly algae?) on the bottom of the pool. There was no smell of chlorine, and no water being filtered into the pool, it was stagnant. There was garbage all over the floor, and the garbage can was overflowing and the insides smelled very bad, like it had been there a long time. My husband told the manager the next morning about it and he didn't offer any kind of explanation or apology.

our bathtub had hair in it like it wasn’t cleaned very well. it’s a smoke free hotel, but our room had a smoke smell in it. just wasn’t a very clean hotel in my opinion

For a Comfort Inn and Suites, I was really disappointed with this stay. The bathroom was full of old water damage to drywall, the bathtub did not drain so you stood in water, the pool was dirty, the hot tub had a smell to it, the pool area had no towels and when we asked for more the staff did get us a few more but said they were the last clean towels in the whole hotel because the first shift people didn't finish the laundry, the breakfast selection was basically just raisin bran and frosted flakes, the kitchen smelled terrible, there was a rooster perched in a tree outside our window that was crowing at night! I would not recommend this place!

The only good thing about the place was the girl working the front desk. The rooms looked good at first glance then when you start looking it was gross. The second floor people were moving because of bed bugs never again will I go there

THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!!! Uf i could give a negative star i would. We were told before hand that the pool and hot tub were working. The hot tub was not. The sidewalks were not shoveled or salted to be cleaned off from the snow. The bathroom door did not lock. The pickings for breakfast were bare. The front desk kept telling us the hotel disnt have enough towels. The ice machines dont work.

Clean and some staff were responsive. I chose this hotel because i called ahead and was told that the machines in the fitness center were in working order. In fact the bicycle, which was the one i needed the most, was not working. I reported it o 3 staff and nothing was done. Finally on the day i checked out, i reported itvagain. The lady took down the onformation and said she would make a report. None of the 3 previous staff membets had reported it. The facility was fine. Breakast was more than adequate. The fitness center needs some work and the staff needs to be told to report things when guests have complaints.

The 1st room they put us in was more like a storage room they were in the process of converting to a room and were unable to finish. There were stains on the towels and sheets. Also a lack of towels because the shower leaked. The nd room wasn’t much better

The staff member Tina was super helpful and made my check-in a breeze. The hot tub has been broken forever that's one of the reasons people get a room. The orange juice in the morning was more water than anything else. The morning guy was on his phone talking to his family in another country. Couldn't be bothered when told him that the juice machine was messed up.

The whole experience was good, from the time we entered in the hotel till the time we left. The room was clean and spacious, the only thing that was a negative was the a/c unit wouldn't get cold enough, other than that its a 5 star hotel.

Our room was a mess. Nothing was cleaned. Disgusting sheets. We called to get new linen - had to go get it and change the sheets ourselves. One of the two towels we got had a hole in it. The bathroom looked as if it were never cleaned. The water pressure was a joke. Our bed was broken and shifted each time we laid down. Our key card didn’t work half way through our stay. The outside back door was never locked so anyone could just walk right in. There were sticky spots left on every surface of furniture-desk, nightstands, bench, coffee table. We got bottles of water in the market, left the money with the woman at the front desk and she still charged it to our room. They also mixed up the days we were staying and had us worried that we would not have a place to stay even though we had already paid and reserved our stay months before. Overall, would never recommend this hotel to stay under any circumstance. It looked like staffing was an issue but that place should honestly focus on cleaning the rooms between each stay and get rid of the limited breakfast because it’s not doing anything for anyone.

There were a few small things that were not great, but the beds were fine and we stayed for one night, so it wasn’t a big deal. We had two rooms, and we were told at check in that they were connecting rooms. We didn’t request it, but it was nice that it worked out that way. We got in the rooms that were next door to each other, but there were no doors in the rooms for them to be connecting. It was so weird that they called them connecting rooms. Our rooms had pull out couches that we planned to use, but they did not have sheets and blankets in the room for them, so we had to request that from downstairs. And when we got to the hotel earlier in the day, the rooms were not ready, but we all needed to use the restroom, so we tried to use the one downstairs in the lobby, and it had “stuff” in the toilet, and no toilet paper. There was a urinal so the boys went, but the girls could not. So we had to go to the gas station next door. The rooms were overall fine, and the breakfast in the morning was ok, pretty basic, so it was fine for a one night stay.

Our room was very dirty. The entire hotel had a horrible smell. The TV was about to fall off of the swivel, and the curtains were falling down. The bathroom door appears to have been scratched by an animal, causing the door to literally be falling apart. The shower looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and the towels were gross.

Our room was very dirty, dried urine on the seat, the shower head was barley working and had barley anything come out of it. The shower curtain looks like it’s never been changed dirty and gross. The tissue box at dried blood on it. The door has stains on the back from dirt etc. the head board at marks all over it. The bed skirt at dirt and stains all over that as well. The closet in the room had a board practically falling out and was a hazard especially if you had young children. The facility also had no vendor machines had only water and a couple chips nothing else. Will definitely not recommend. Staff was nice though but poor facilities management.

The one thing that was bad was the Hot tub was not hot and was very dirty. The pool was ok.The staff is very nice. But they could do better in Maintenace and making sure things are a little cleaner.

Our hotel room was dirty, the toilet had not been cleaned and our sheets and towels had stains. None of the utilities were in good shape, for example the shower pieces were coming off as we showered etc. The ice machine didn’t work on any floor and the pool area was disgusting. Also none of the doors locked so there was no security.

On the decline
We have stayed at this hotel about 2 times a year over the last 4 years, and it has declined year by year. The last 2 visits I had issues with the wash cloths. One time I called it to the attention of the person on duty and he was going to replace it with something that should have been in the trash. I was insulted. It looked like someone washed a car with it. The last visit we went to the store and purchased our own towels and wash cloths. They shouldn't advertise breakfast. Dried out eggs, biscuits and gravey. The yogurt was great. Coffee was ok. We will not stay here again unless I hear better reviews and it's been renovated. We've booked another place for our spring visit. Hotels farther away may be worth it. The toilet seat was hanging on by a lose screw. They did come and tighten it up. It shouldn't have been missed by housekeeping in the fist place. This was the first time I saw a few stains on the bedding. The bed was comfortable, that was the only saving grace.

The property is very dated and needs alot of work - extremely dirty in places - corners of bathrooms and shower curtains were dirty. Not sure if this place was just taken over but needs help. Breakfast was included and ran from 7-10 am - but when we got down there at 8 am all the items were depleted - not sure if they replenished them or nor but the selection was poor and not up to Comfort Inn standards from the others that I have stayed in. I was very disappointed.

The bathroom had a huge crack in the countertop. The desk chair was a metal folding chair. The closet door was off the hinges. The tissue holder was broken. I have photos of all damaged items.
