Twenty Acre Meadow The name of the field according to the 1839 tithe map. New Barn Shaw is the wood at the far end of the field of maize which would be removed later on during the day.

Wales Farm A working farm owned by neighbouring Plumpton Agricultural College. The field in the foreground is Wales Laine as is the one beyond the hedge which marks the boundary between the parishes of Streat and Plumpton. The rising ground and clear day allows for views over the Weald in the direction of Ashdown Forest.
