"This place is amazing. If you are looking for something unique with over 500 years of history then this is the place. The dining rooms are covered in pictures from the poems of Jean de la Fontaine, because why not. The staff are also really friendly."

The villa itself is a historic home and the family offered us the chance to read about its history, which made our stay even more memorable. "Great property in a fantastic location for a stop over after the tunnel when heading south. It is actually a retirement village, but they rent spare apartments to visitors. Nice (small) pool and sauna. Plenty of restaurant options in town, even on a Monday. Would stay again"
