"What an amazing vacation we had. After 5 days most of the staff had become good friends. It was sad to say goodbye to them. The location is stunning too with 180 degree views of 2 beaches. Outside our room we had a monkey highway as each morning 10 monkeys would walk across the vines outside our room. The wildlife are real happy there as we saw sloths, friendly lizards and lots of monkeys. And last but not least, the food was amazing at both restaurants. We cant wait to return!"

"Clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. Impressed by the hot breakfast, great variety. The breakfast restaurant has a great view of the ocean and rainforest by the beach. Very cozily decked up for the holidays! The guest service staff were very helpful. They helped us with day tours booking for various activities. Comfortable and luxurious stay. I highly recommend this place. "
"Isai and the entire staff are friendly and courteous and it is an amazing place above expectations. Be aware of the scammers at the entrance to the park who trip to look like they work there but are just trying to scam you out of your money.
give this place a 10 out of 10 no doubt"
"We have stayed in the area several times before, further down the road by Playa Biesanz, and remembered passing La Mariposa on our way to town, so this trip decided to give it a try. It’s conveniently located near shops and restaurants but is still quiet enough to have plenty of wildlife on the property. We saw not one but TWO sloths on the property, and both Capuchin and Squirrel Monkeys, not to mention the adorable Agouti that played near our patio. Then there are the birds…. So many!
The room was a little weird with the bathroom sink quite a distance away in the living room, but this gave room for a bidet in the bathroom and for that I say THANK YOU! Also we almost died slipping on the bathroom floor but they provided a second towel and that issue was resolved. The bed, and the red lights by the bed were really nice.
We had a lot of privacy off our patio so we slept with the curtains open and enjoyed the 5AM wake up calls of the Macaws and spent a lot of time enjoying the view. Our room was down a flight of stairs, and we had a few tent making bats surprise us at night. This is not a complaint….we loved it!
The pools are all amazing with incredible sunset views and comfy chairs. We enjoyed the drinks the staff made for us and watched a sunset from the swim up bar one night.
We had dinner twice at the hotel. Both times the food and the service were premium. The octopus appetizer is excellent! During dinner we had a 2-Toed Sloth make its way by even. "
"We had an incredible time at Parador Nature Resort and Spa. The property is beautiful and surrounded by wildlife — we saw monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and so much nature right on the grounds. The pool was fantastic, and the hot tub area was extra hot (which we loved after long days exploring).
The staff were absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We met so many interesting people from all over the world, which made the experience even more special. Everything is close and easy to access, and the free golf cart shuttle service into town and to Manuel Antonio Park was a huge bonus and very convenient.
Drinks were good (a bit pricey, but expected for a resort), and breakfast was wonderful — do not skip the omelet, it’s excellent.
Overall, a great experience from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"
"The location is really good and the check-in is smooth. We had an ocean Garden view family room. The sunset was beautiful. The garden with the pools is amazing. The room is clean and spacious with lots of windows so you will feel you are in the rainforest. The full kitchen is convenient. We are really happy staying in this hotel."
"Great stay. Steven at the front desk was a great host. He helped us with facilities even after we checked out of the hotel, after we came back from enjoying the Manuel Antonio National Park."
Oceanfront Hotel Verde Mar direct access to the beach

"Room was good size, had a fridge. Air conditioning worked well. Not good water pressure and water could have been warmer. We enjoyed it here. Monkeys came into the lobby and pool area in the morning it was great. "
