Playa Montesinos

Overall, this hotel offers very good value for the price. The property is smaller than some nearby resorts, but that makes it easy to navigate and rather comfortable. Landscaping and exterior areas are very well maintained. Pre-arrival communication could be improved, particularly regarding calls since they themselves shared a disconnected phone number with me and then promoted me to find another number online. I would not recommend pre-arranging transfers, as they are overpriced, and taxis and Uber from the airport are significantly more affordable. The room is clean but somewhat outdated. The mattress is firm, the TV is small and not a smart TV, and the shower is on the smaller side (taller guests may find it tight). The bathroom occasionally had a slight odor. The buffet is good/average overall. Consistent, but nothing particularly standout. The Italian restaurant was excellent and a highlight of the stay, with outstanding service by Yorquis. Service throughout the resort was generally very good and comparable to, or even better than, some higher price point properties. For the cost, this is a solid option.
