"Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is around 20 minutes from La Fortuna so car rental was needed. Beautiful secluded spot with a gorgeous terrace and small roof dipping pool/tub (villa cacao). Room had everything we needed and was very clean. We loved the terrace, complete with coffee maker and fridge under the breakfast bar. Breakfast was included and lovely. It was made fresh to order every morning in the main reception area. Tipico and pancakes were delicious. There were a few noisy trucks but nothing that would stop us staying again. We also took part in the chocolate tour with Nelson. He was excellent with our very inquisitive 5 and 8 year olds and answered all their questions (there were many). Waking up to feeling like you were in the middle of the jungle every morning and seeing fireflies dance at night from the seclusion of our terrace was a highlight for our family and will always be a fond memory of our Costa Rica adventure."

"Staff were very nice. Beautiful location and gorgeous property. I didn’t like the fact that animals were in captivity. We went to Nayara next and found monkeys were free there jumping from tree to tree. It also got very crowded during the day as they allow outside guests to the gardens. It is priced high compared to other luxury properties and its overall value. Adding the breakfast can be a good feature they can offer. Overall - staff are very nice. We likes the trails and waterfall. Value for money - not as good as Nayara "

"We stayed in a shipping container! It wasn't a real room. It was cold. They provided us with 2 noisy space heaters that didn't heat enough. Sheets and blankets felt itchy. We couldn't sleep much. Staff was nice. Location and view were amazing. Breakfast was excellent. I don't recommend to stay there if you are hoping for a nice comfortable stay. "

"We could not be happier with our stay at the tree houses! We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was incredible. Coffee delivered every morning to our balcony so we could watch and listen to the animals, a great breakfast prepared every morning, and a night hike that we really enjoyed. The staff was incredibly helpful in booking excursions which were so fun. We took a day trip with Juan Carlos and saw so many things in a day that would have taken us 3 days otherwise. We 100% recommend to stay here. "

"The whole experience was amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodating the room was beautiful and spacious the grounds were beautiful and the food was excellent! Bonus was the howler monkeys off my balcony and a sloth on the grounds"

"Stayed for two nights. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. The lodge is situated close to the river which is good for swimming and has it's own forest reserve. We did two very enjoyable guided walks on the reserve with local guides who were extremely knowledgeable. We stayed in the family room which was rather rustic but plenty big enough for a family of four. The main frustration was the cold shower which didn't get fixed despite reporting on the first day. Breakfast was good, dinner is an optional buffet and is not worth it. "

"This place was great. Served as a base for us to explore the region. Very clean and private. There were a few others staying on the property and we never would have known if we didn't see cars while leaving for the day. Air conditioning worked perfectly, kitchen had everything we needed (no oven). Laundry is not in the villa, but just a short walk to a separate building. Located about 15-20 minutes from La Fortuna, but not an issue at all! Once again, great place!"

"The grounds are absolutely stunning, we had a riverside room and it was pure paradise! Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. There's an excellent hiking trail throughout the property as well as a guided tour available across the suspension bridge into the park. Highly recommend this place for bird watchers and jungle enthusiasts alike!"

"Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools ."
