"This was a great lodge to stay in and was central for the tours and other plans we had for this part of our trip. The breakfast buffet offered many options for a solid start for the day. They had covered walkways over many of the pathways and we used them as there was a fair amount of rain during our time in this part of Costa Rica (late July). They were pretty hard and fast regarding check-in and out times, so keep that in mind. We are used to some flexibility in this area and found it to be so at the other lodges we stayed at in the country. It was interesting to see the variety of birds that were drawn to the fruit they put out to attract birds - viewable from the deck. We also walked back to the small pond in the back and saw a couple of different birds there."
