I was told beforehand that this hotel was all about the location, and not to expect the usual luxuries for the (considerable) cost, and I wasn't disappointed. Actually I felt the hotel was very good - yes the rooms were small, but it had a nice atmosphere, particularly after the park had closed and everyone else had returned to the village below. Food good and staff warm and friendly.

The staff were outstanding. Friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. Nice touch with some free drinks in the fridge. Large single glazed windows give a fantastic view of the thunderous river running through the town. I loved hearing the constant roar. Some may not. Breakfast was excellent. A fantastic hotel.

Maylin was the standout member of a superb team of staff at the hotel. Everyone was so helpful and super friendly. The room was clean but a little worn in places, nothing to complain about. River view room is awesome but, with the river in full flow, it’s loud, didn’t stop us from sleeping though. Breakfast was good, decent selection and a cooked to order omelette was excellent. Easy walk from the train station and close to the bus stop for Machu Picchu. Would I go again, definitely

Hotel was good- room clean & tidy. No coffee or tea making facilities. Rooms spacious & with a nice view over the river. Our room was at the front, which meant we got the barking dogs all night long. Breakfast was buffet style & limited. Eggs cooked to order fried boiled or scrambled

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel is up the hill from the railway station but worth the view when you get there. I was given a room on the 5th floor, the only floor with balconies and the view of the town and mountains around is great.
The room was spacious with. Huge comfy bed, refrigerator and heater and clean throughout. Shower with good water pressure and hot water.
The staff were really great and would do anything for you. Breakfast starts at 5am,...
