Barbara Piran Beach hotel
10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I stayed for one night at Barbara Beach Hotel and enjoyed our stay. The room had an amazing sea view and was spotless throughout. The breakfast had a range of hot and cold options so there was enough there to choose from. We had access to the loungers as part of our stay so utilised these in the afternoon, there were plenty available. The steps down to the sea were quite slippery and could do with upgraded safety as many guests struggled getting in and out of the water. The location is perfect for enjoying a peaceful break but with easy access to Piran with a 15 min walk to the town centre. All in all a great stay."

"Art Hotel is in a fabulous location in the central square. Staff very helpful, spoke excellent English and reception manned 24 hours a day. Room decent size. Bathroom small, no door on shower so risk of water on the bathroom floor. Duvets not in covers (provided) which we thought a little odd. Breakfast very good. Pleasant roof space overlooking the harbour and town but no bar up there. Minor problem with parking (1/2 mile away) as ticket failed to allow exit but that is being sorted out."

"This is an excellent hotel in an excellent location, right in the centre of Piran's historical area. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the terrace bar. I wish this bar was open on more evenings to watch the sunset, and it would have been great to have a kettle in the room. But these are minor points, and we can thoroughly recommend this hotel!"
Hotel Histrion - Sava Hotels & Resorts

"We had a lovely stay at Hotel Histrion. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a kettle and mini fridge provided. The only downside was that the tea and coffee weren’t restocked during our stay. Breakfast was fine, with enough choice to start the day. A high chair was also always available for our daughter, which was really convenient. Unfortunately, the indoor pool at Hotel Histrion was closed during our stay, but this didn’t matter at all as we had plenty of other options. We were able to use the outdoor swimming area at Bernardin Plaza, as well as the outdoor pool at Apartments Vila Barka, free of charge. We also had the option of using the indoor pool at Grand Hotel Bernardin, but the weather was so lovely that we much preferred being outside! The outdoor swimming area at Bernardin Plaza was fantastic and really made our stay. It was a great alternative to the closed pool and meant we could still enjoy plenty of swimming and relaxing in the sunshine! Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return!"
Apartments Vila Piranesi

"The no friils room was large and staged like an apt. The view was fantastic looking right over the harbor. We could get fresh towels when we asked. There is no lift so be prepared to walk 4 flights of steps. The parking was confusing in the beginning but once we figured it out, it was fine. The building is in the heart of it all."

"Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews - this place is great. Recently done out. Rooms immaculate. Dining hall the same and a great variety of food. Wonderful seafront location with delightful walk to Piran and Portoroz nearby the other way. Staff all really helpful. Great pool just by the sea. Lovely little row of gift shops between the rooms and the pool area. Only thing was you had to pay for sun loungers but I think quite a few places do that in Italy. We were two adults and three children who came for a rest after travelling for a week and it was brilliant."

"We enjoyed the outside patio for lunch & breakfast and the kitchen. The room was clean but very small. We had to put our suitcases under the bed. The bed was against the wall so to get up during the night was a bit tricky. The price and location was good."
