"Maybe I'm just a sucker for retro but after a hellish time of trying to find a Decent hotel on our way home last minute, we finally found this place...As soon as I walked I to the lobby I was transported back in time...this place is not trying to be old palm desert, it is! A little rought around the edges because of the age in some areas but I love the vibe and friendly staff and want to come back. We did eat at the lounge and not only was the food delicious, the bar was so old school and the female bartender, literally would bust out tunes and a microphone and sing a"

"The whole atmosphere and thematic of the place is amazing! If you’re into retro-futuristic this is your place no doubt. Staff is kind and helpful especially lady at the front desk in the morning(couldn’t get her name, curly hair) she’s is one of a kind. Location is really good as well since you can walk to Snow Summit or The Village if you feel like driving. Really satisfied with price-value at Big Bear."

"Staff were very friendly and available. Cute property. Loved that we had a guitar in our room to play along with board games. I personally love that it had no TV, but that is something to be aware of. The bathroom was a bit dark, so it was difficult to see enough to shave or put in make-up, and I could t really tell if it was clean because of that. We had a nice time staying at Pioneertown Motel!"
