Pines Lake Trip

It was fine. I’ve stayed here many times before. There seems to be an abundance of processing depending on who’s at the desk. The air conditioner in my first room was malfunctioning but all was well in new room

Our room was not ready until 3:15pm, 15 minutes past the contractual check-in time. We had arrived at 9am and requested for to check in early if possible because of evening commitments. I understand it's a busy hotel, but to not be allowed to check in until 15 minutes after the guaranteed time is pathetic. I called at 12pm and they said the room would be ready soon. It was not. No apologies were given. Our AC vent was also clicking on/off all night making it difficult to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything right outside your room. This hotel markets itself up to appear luxurious in the lobby and outside, but once you're in your room it is miserable. $6 for a drip coffee in the morning. Avoid at all costs. You are better off anywhere else.

Located on a busy street directly above a very lively bar, with crowds gathering outside and people talking and shouting late into the night. Unfortunately, the soundproofing was quite poor, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The bed was also uncomfortable, and the room itself was very basic. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars

Tons of character and great location. Check-in was DIY, a first for me. Would definitely stay again.

Everything about the stay was wonderful — the upscale amenities, the room, and the excellent customer service. I do need to share one concern: a dinner charge for another guest was mistakenly billed to my room number. It seems the staff should verify guests more carefully when using room numbers. I didn’t notice the error until I reviewed the printed receipt at home. They are currently investigating, but the refund process has been taking longer than expected.
