"Newly remodled, clean, staff was excellent. Shout out to Nicole, Nora, Robin, Adam and Alexis in the Island View Restaurant. We had a terrible experience with Sandy in the restaurant next door who was the rudest person i've encountered in years. We entered that restaurant nobody waited on us for quite a while (hostesses at host desk congreated and we were the only people sitting down) we finally thought maybe we have to go to the bar to order our food. Sandy, was so rude i'll save the details except my husband saw how this interaction was going and said lets just go to the other place next door and get food. Sandy brought our receipt for our one water and a beer and said, "Just sign this and go". She needs fired if she is that miserable at her job. Walking in to the Island View however we were greeted by everyone. Place is really awesome. Get the blooming onion and pretzel. Excellent! Pros: Beachfront, Mostly excellent staff Clean Housekeeping staff great Food to choose from without leaving the hotel. VIP drink tickets 2 free waters a day just go to the front desk Drink service on beach Shops downstairs Excellent DJ Cons: Pillows (VERY small but just call the front desk and they will bring you more) No full length mirror like most hotels but not a big deal. "Diamond head is a great vacation spot. It’s close to restaurants but also has good restaurants on site. The bar is perfect for watching the games and having a drink in hand. The beach chairs are a plus too."

The Westin Cape Coral Resort At Marina Village

"My husband and I chose this resort as our monthly get away. It is the sister hotel of the Currant Hotel. Our stay was very pleasurable and relaxing. This was our first stay here. I had read the reviews prior to staying here, and of course everyone cannot be pleased. I would suggest for younger couples with small children, that this resort isn't very child friendly due to not seeing any amenities for small children, teenagers will be fine. Our valet attendant who was a middle-aged Middle Eastern gentleman was absolutely amazing! This man truly valued his job. He stated he had been working for around eight months, and that his son was also an employee at the Resort. The food was decent, but I didn't understand how they would allow the restaurant to run out of shrimp on a Saturday at 1 p.m. The drinks were also good, not to strong, but worth the money. The only concern that I do have, is that housekeeping tried to enter our room after the doorbell was rang, but we had the latch lock on. When we opened the door there was no one there, and we didn't see a housekeeping cart or anything. I was left wondering who trying to get into our room being a key was used. My husband called the front desk and informed them what had happened. They promised to check into the inquiry and call back. The front desk called and confirmed that it was a housekeeper who badge showed that she/he had swiped our room door. Why would she come into our room if she didn't have any supplies."
