"Staff at check in were friendly, quick, and notified me of renovations at the hotel, and potential construction noise starting at 9am. Luckily I didn't hear anything as they were working on opposite end of hallway. My room, 303, on the top floor, was surrounded by several rooms being renovated on the floor, with plastic covering the carpet in hallway, some wall paper missing, and I was literally walking through a construction zone. That was a bit odd and I'd suggest closing a floor at a time instead. While I was able to see into some of the new rooms, which looked great, I found my room (not renovated) to be perfectly fine, furnishings were in good condition, and my King Suite with jetted tub was comfortable. The tub itself was a bit small, and while it was only 4 jets in the tub, they were powerful and it was very relaxing! My biggest gripe was breakfast ending early at 9am, especially on a Saturday morning. Breakfast itself was good, although by 8:30am, I got the last strip of bacon, and sadly they had run out of the tasty cinnamon rolls. No staff were present restocking in the last 1/2 hour. Really liked the new HIE coffee machines too! The room had lots of lighting, was clean, comfortable, especially the bed, and overall it was a great stay and great value. Food/restaurants and gas close by. One note regarding the shower, water pressure was great, gets very hot, but shower was a bit slippery. "

"Lovely old inn, overflowing (in a great way) with antiques and special touches. The host definitely has a sweet tooth…there are little bowls of sweet treats throughout… chocolates, fruit gummies, cookies which made it feel so homey. There is no TV which we found as a bonus. We spent our evening playing backgammon on an antique board instead. The only downside is some traffic noise from a nearby road but that did little to disturb the tranquility."

"There was absolutely no toilet tissue in our room when we arrived, which was a frustrating inconvenience in itself. But the unprofessional part was having to make two different trips back to the hotel before we were able to receive our deposit, due to staff claiming they didn't have access to the office where it was supposedly locked away."
