The hotel, as its name says, is in the middle of the downtown area. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, and well maintained. The area around the hotel though is a bit…..seedy. Tons of homeless people asking for money/food. The areas across the street from the hotel are a combination of nice and completely run-down. There is a very nice Italian restaurant directly across from the hotel’s main entrance. But right next door to the restaurant is a 7-11 that has seen better days, and the homeless gather in front of the 7-11. The Reading Station Market, which has vendors with just about every kind of food and pastry you can imagine. The place is awesome. It’s located across from the hotel as well. However, you have to wade through a sea of homeless just to get to the entrance.

Very nice and convenient hotel. I like the gym as well. The only thing I did not like is that someone put a $6 bottled water in my room that I did not touch but appeared in the bill. Fortunately, the receptionist is kind enough to remove the charge.

Nice property, great staff and great service. It was so convenient to everything. The only downside was the entrance situation to the property. Don’t return to property at night after 9pm and expect to enter from Market St or 12th Street. You can only enter from the main entrance on Filbert.

Our key didn’t work twice we had to keep going down stairs the maids are extremely noisy and bang and bump through everything slamming doors all morning. Throw up trash and homeless people panhandling outside but I guess that’s Philly. And the barcode for room service doesn’t have a menu or ordering option.

The hotel is in an excellent location, I needed the Philadelphia Convention Center and the subway nearby. The room was just average, nothing out of the ordinary, quite clean.

The area outside the hotel entrance was a bit shady & didn’t feel safe but the hotel is great inside and we appreciated the early check in. It was odd that there was no hand soap in the bathroom and an employee confirmed as much - that should come standard with every room reservation since most people do not pack that!

They were unable to handle the large crowd. Our shower was overflowing and they didn’t answer the phone so I had to go to the desk. The valet also didn’t answer the phone and it took 30 minutes to take the car

Overall my experience was fine, however I want to check out late and ask the front desk and was deny. I don't understand then what is the purpose of being a member and I couldn't check out later - It would of been great if I could check out late especially since I had a 2hour drive and was traveling with my child

Aside from the convenient location, there was nothing impressive about this hotel. Dirty bathroom, cold breakfast, and unattentive staff. Very overpriced for what it is. It’s a 2-3 star hotel at best charging a 5 star rate because of the convenient location.

Excellent choice, $66 per day extra for your car. Used an app for parking across the street. 1/2 block. Took public transportation walked to Reading Terminal Market for breakfast, saw a concert at Wells Fargo Arena 6 stops away! Perfect overnight!
