"A great hotel in a great location. Whenever I come to Baku I usually stay here. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Other strong points are the bar/ restaurant, fitness center, and the 24-hour room service. Definitely, so room service one morning and order the Azerbaijani breakfast with tea. The views are also good looking out onto either Winter Park or the picturesque and historic Kubinka neighborhood, which I hear might unfortunately be demolished.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the showers are designed oddly with one side completely open. If you’re not careful you can accidentally flood the bathroom, so ask for extra towels on your first night in case you get water all over the floor.
Overall, a great hotel."
"The Fairmont is a centrepiece of Baku. The hotel staff are phenomenal, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and pleasantly decorated. The reception is welcoming.
We were met by Survan who was exceptional. His attention to detail to ensure your stay with them was paramount. He went above and beyond and a credit to the hotel chain.
The staff in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal were superb. A young Manager in Le Bistro was very engaging and welcoming, and the food was outstanding.
Recommended to stay at this hotel, don’t waste your time staying anywhere else in Baku. "
"Location was nice near Caspian see and Denis mall was near , all staff was kind and helpful. Perfect breakfast and service, recommend for everyone. Will come back again."
"We chose this hotel largely for the views and that did not disappoint. Unique property. Our view from the room however was basically a building wall. We came in late so when they asked if we would like our room serviced "today" the first day we said it wasn't necessary. But despite using the please service room sign the next 2 days the room was not tended. Had to ask for toilet paper and water at the desk several times. Also asked for towels but those were never replaced over the 5 days. Also the room was overall comfy and clean but the shower had lots of black mold. The breakfast was traditional and delicious but could only enjoy the view with breakfast once as it doesn't start until 9. Not great if you have tours booked as they also typically start at 9. Asked if we could have just some day old pastries/bread for the next morning and was told no. Finally we had a very early departing flight so asked if they could arrange a taxi that accepted cards (as all of the actual taxi services do) since we didn't want to depend on bolt that early and had used all of our local currency and didn't want to get another withdrawal fee. They woke us in the middle of the night to confirm this. Then called a guy that seemed to just be a friend and def not a taxi or bolt driver and could only accept cash so had to stop at an ATM. Loved Baku and Azerbaijan and usually prefer more boutique type hotels over but chains but would definitely have booked in old city if I were to do it again. "
"Very nice hotel with an amazing friendly staff and atmosphere. Front desk vent above service when needed.
Good breakfast with a nice selection of hot and cold food.
Located just a few minutes walk from the world largest flag and make sure to check out a small park across from the hotel. Sit and enjoy tea and watch life go by."
