Petite-Riviere-Saint-Francois Trip

Parking was a problem. First night, we were contacted and asked to move vehicle from designated parking spot after 10:00 PM, because owner had changed his mind. On second last day, a message came that all parking for B&B had been taken back by owner. Smoke detector began beeping first night, needing a new battery. No one was available to remedy that. Staff had difficulty understanding the problem. We replaced it ourselves. Previous guests had clogged bathroom sink with food waste. We unclogged it ourselves. Mini fridge leaked. Issues were reported, but no response came. The room itself was quiet, spacious, comfortable and very clean. A great location.

Clean room, excellent view, super comfy bed

The apartment is fabulous, so clean and neat. We were wowed by how beautiful it is - modern yet classic. But the area surrounding has multiple homeless shelters and it felt unsafe certain times. We were yelled by a street musician/homeless person to fxcking go back to China on the street of the loft. I live in Toronto so not a stranger to homelessness and don’t live in a bubble - but the degree of problem here is still quite the shock. If you identify as visible minority please consider other areas to stay.
