"The sink and toilet in our room clogged on the first use, for no good reason, and remained so throughout our stay. The toilets in other common areas of the property were also clogged. I think they need to upgrade their system.
The room and bathroom was relatively “clean” but the furniture and fixtures were old, dingy and stained.
I booked a room with an alleged price guarantee through Expedia for two nights, which, according to them was a minimum per property rules.
The room rate was found to be much less via direct booking at the property. Expedia refused to honor their price guarantee because I did not notify them until after I had checked in.
Because of some options to change our itinerary, when I arrived I asked the desk attendant if an early checkout was possible as I potentially only needed to stay one night.
She told me was certainty that they would allow me to check out and authorize a refund for 1 night however, it would need to come from Expedia since that is who booked through and that Expedia could contact them to verify the property authorized an early and confirm the checkout date.
When I attempted to do this through Expedia, after 45 minutes of being given the runaround and them going back-and-forth with the property I was told my refund was denied.
Neither the property nor Expedia would standby the customer, but rather chose to behave as agents who rely upon technicalities to rip off consumers.
I paid a premium rate for 2 nights and was delivered 1 night"
