The room was beautiful and clean. Each room is individually designed with good amenities. This is a totally unique location, and a wonderful hotel. It's right in the medieval village, so expect to walk your bags from the main road to the hotel, down cobblestone streets. We walked from the train station, which was about 20 minutes, mostly uphill. There are likely easier bus or taxi options that will get you the edge of the medieval town. The effort was totally worth it. Breakfast was at a family-run restaurant on the main square, a one minute walk from the hotel. It felt like 'Old France', with a fireplace lit, copper pans hanging from the wall, and delicious pastries and bread for breakfast. Eggs or cheese were extra. We had a great one night stay here during low season, and would definitely come back.
