"Lovely stay the hotel was very lovely nice staff very clean and lovely pool and grounds. Bentota was very quiet tho no beach bars restaurants nearby accessible from the beach. But there was more in town if you want to venture out. Drawback was the noise from the train its horn sounds intermittently from around 5am but that didn’t seem to bother others as much as us. If you like a beer have a few in your fridge for the moon festivals x "

"The location was perfect!!! Access to two beaches, walking distance to amazing restaurants and to the railway station. Amenities of the Taj were excellent and the breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever experienced."

"We had a nice stay. Our initial interaction upon check in wasn't great, the lady on the front desk was rather aloof and unwilling to help with a room issue. The rooms are a little 'grubby'. The floors are maybe swept but not mopped in what appears to be a high turnover property. Pool facilities are great, Breakfast great, The Italian restaurant was ideal for the kids."
