"An overnight stop before catching a ferry the next morning. Lovely pub, which was busy on our arrival at 8pm. Menu good and food was enjoyable but mains arrived instantly as soon as we’d finished our starters, which made our meal feel a bit rushed. The review format asked for echo-friendliness so had to mark down a little for the use of small plastic bottles in the bathroom and the individual packaged portions of butter, jam, sugar and salt at breakfast. "We had a superior sea front room which was very big & comfortable. Everything was good. The staff were very helpful & polite. It was just a shame the frontage & entry to the hotel was a bit worn out & old fashioned. Tables and chairs and a few pot plants would have been good. A new carpet at the entrance & a lick of paint would have made such a difference. "
