"This beautiful antique mansion was the perfect place to begin exploring. Convenient to many attractions. Onsite tavern was a bonus. Breakfasts were perfect.hard to find charm and great hospitality."
"Clean, caring, cozy, welcoming and delightful with amazing and delicious 3 course breakfast served in a lovely dining room. The room are vey Victorian and adorable with every amenity. "This is a lovely gem on the coast with a quiet water view. Staying here and spending the day at Acadia National Park is totally doable. We appreciated the hot cider and cookies in the evenings. The room was clean. There is some highway noise but the A/C fan covered most of it. The pillows on the king bed were way too overstuffed for my liking but that is a personal preference. Overall, great place and highly recommend."
"The cottage was super ‘comphy’ and perfect for the two of us and had everything that we needed! The owner was fantastic and told us about all the things that we should do while there! Our pup was very welcomed and I knew he was safe if we needed to leave him for dinner. It wasn’t far from Camden/ Rockland/Rockport, which is where we spent a lot of time when not at the cottage. We will definitely suggest it to others and be staying with them again!!"
"I have been here a lot over the years and I really enjoy The Fireside! The staff is always kind, I love everything that’s available in the lobby and the rooms are like and clean! I will say that the bottom floor is my least favorite thing, the appliances need to be updated and we did have a noisy neighbor but the women at the front desk did help with that! "
"The cottage we stayed in was quiet, beautifully finished and felt like the perfect quiet retreat. We loved the pebble beach and the ocean views from the property. We watched the sun rise from our bedroom window, it was perfect. The bedding was super soft and the cottage was warm and cosy. My only regret is that we only stayed for one night! "
