10/10 Excellent

"Had a wonderful staff and as a coeliac they even prepared afternoon tea at short notice which was delightful. Once again was not let down in the evening with a Gluten Free menu and had a wonderful meal. My only criticism was at Breakfast no Gluten Free menu and the waitress was no very helpful just kept trying to push the avocado onto me as gluten free but I'm not a fan of avocado and felt like I wasn't a priority on my dietary needs so ended up with just fruit salad full of apple and yogurt and toast that was cold and tough. Otherwise our stay was perfect"

Celtic Manor Resort

"Stayed at the Celtic Manor Resort recently and came away feeling a little disappointed overall. The bed was genuinely excellent and most of the staff we dealt with were friendly and polite, but for a hotel marketed as five-star, parts of the experience didn’t really match the price point. On arrival, the concierge/car parking experience felt unnecessarily dismissive, which isn’t the welcome you expect when paying premium prices. The hotel itself also feels quite dated in areas. The room was comfortable, but surprisingly lacked basic touches you’d normally expect at this level — no bottled water, no minibar. After arriving late, we also found the night menu extremely limited, to the point we didn’t bother ordering food. The bar service was fine, but automatically adding a 10% discretionary service charge onto drinks left a slightly sour taste, especially when four pints came to around £36. Overall, not a terrible stay by any means, but it didn’t feel like a true five star experience for the money charged."

"Booked a long weekend for my wife and I. Very easy to get to from junction 14 on the m5 (only 5 minutes). Tortworth Court is well worthy to be a part of the De Vere chain of hotels, it's so exquisite and unique and has been brought upto a standard for everyone to admire. All the staff were very freindly and professional from check in to check out. features like the Library Bar and the Atrium Bar blew us away with decor and lighting and a vast selection of beverages and food. We stayed in the Gilbert Room 22 which is in the main building at the top of a long sweeping staircase. Outside the building the gardens are to be admired and the upkeep is spotless. To all the staff, you made it such a memorable weekend and we shall be returning."

"Sticker said 'hold rails getting out of shower' there were none, nearly slipped over. Wasn't informed before arrival but they now charge for parking!!! Like you have any alternative place to park!!! Last time I stayed i got breakfast included, this time they asked me for £13.95!! Won't be back!"
