"The staff were all lovely. Only negative is the noise. Rooms all surround the pool as in steps away from it and late into the night there was loud laughing and merrymaking. No sleep for sober guests until early morning. It is an ideal spot away from the crowd but within 3 minutes of walking to/from the harbour and said crowd."

"I had an absolutely amazing stay at Mandalika Cottage on Gili Trawangan! The location is perfect—close enough to walk to everything but tucked away just enough to enjoy peace and quiet at night. "SCAM. Nothing like pictures. Building area looked like a slum. Disgusting room. Previous flooding visible on the walls. No desk to talk to just a phone service where the so called manager promised a refund as we could not stay there. Weve found other honest operators on gili t, so cant get our money back but hope this serves as a warning. After speaking to locals we were told tgeyhave been scamming people for ages, so why are still on expedia??"

"This hotel needs some upgrades. If you like to wake up as soon as the sun comes up this room is for you. The curtains is just for decoration doesn’t block the lights that come from outside. The bed makes a lot of noise when you move. And there is only a sheet to cover you at night. The room is always hot because the air conditioner doesn’t works, unless if you are in your bed. "The place is good and has an excellent location but they have many areas to improve, for example the cleanliness and attention to the guests since during our entire stay we did not see any of the staff clean the room, we had 4 power cuts that the hotel was not even aware of, we had to be calling the reception or looking for someone to fix it."

"The ad is misleading because it is not located on the beach - it is a 5 minute walk inland. You have to type in 'Joevanna Cottage' (with 2 n's) into Google Maps to find the correct location. Also, there are small ants in the room. It was only for one night so it was ok. The plus is that there was hot water for the shower."
