This was an overnight stop (last minute booking) during our road trip from Banff to Vancouver. We were impressed with our stay at the Super 8 in Canmore so had high expectations. Sadly, it was not even close. Staff were friendly and responsive. Place was clean but tired and in need of major renovation. Breakfast area needs ventilation - the smell stuck to our clothes and hair. Property is about a 20 minute drive to downtown.

Expected more from Wyndham. Dirty bathroom, Garbage bins just in front of the room, poor air quality inside the room etc are some key drawbacks. Hot tub was not working.

We noticed that there was fecal matter on the wall in the bathroom across from the toilet (unsure how one would achieve this). We also saw plenty of homeless wanderers around the property. There seemed to be a foil wrapper in our bed sheets eluding to it not being properly sanitized. No smoking signs all around but there were guests constantly directly outside our door smoking. There is little to no privacy as we could hear belching through the wall as people walked by. We went to go use the ice bucket… once again, unsanitized and greasy with stains on the lid and matching grimy tongs. I have stayed in a lot of low budget hotels but this is one of the worst. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are absolutely desperate.
