This is an amazing hotel. One of the best we ever stayed in. Large, clean, well-maintained, you can even say, stylish, room. Unexpected amenities include cotton robes and complimentary slippers. Breakfast offers cooked oatmeal, which is big for us. One has to wonder how they can do all that at relatively modest price. What do the know that other hotels don’t?

The hotel is average and pet friendly and staff is courteous. Paid for 3 breakfasts and the menu was the same everyday. Coffee not the best Cleaning is not meticulous, don't know how often they vacuum, we saw the same dirt during our stay.

I loved the staff and this hotel! The only reason I noted that a couple of areas were not at the highest rating was just because of some sketchy folks hanging out just outside of the parking lot. In addition, the spa was a little unkept and the pool furniture was dated. But everything else, was great! The room was very clean, and they were accommodating with my need to have breakfast in our room because of my sleepy toddler. The staff were helpful and kind and the breakfast was great.

We've stayed at The Oaks many times. The overall property has gone downhill in the past 2 years. As Paso Robles is wine country they used to provide wine glasses in the room. No more. They used to provide plastic drinking glasses in the room. No more. There is a homeless population that stays near the parking area all day long. I had concerns about my car being vandalized. My next trip to Paso Robles I'll consider staying elsewhere.
