The COVID-19 outbreak has changed how we travel, but it hasn't curbed our lust for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to deal with the new challenges of travelling:

• Find out what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so don't forget to check before you lock something in.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA officer will require you to temporarily lower your mask to verify your identity.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• Remove items from your pockets, like your wallet, coins and keys, and put them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• If you're taking food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
