There were a lot of homeless people around the property and on the streets, as well as a disgusting amount of trash and poop, and just overall unclean.

Bad service. The only person helpful was Rafik. Bad behavior of Emanuel! Very mean. Rooms are not clean and they have a policy as Emanuel said cleaning once every 3 days!!!!

Close to the tubes to get you to line 1. Was given probably the best room I’ve had in France for a 3 star hotel Front desk helpful and friendly A bit out the way but with the metro it was ok

Convenient hotel, close to the metro and Guard de Nord station. Nice and quiet. I slept very well the two night I stayed there. The breakfast was lovely, great produce! The mini gym could do with an upgrade, two of the machines weren’t working. The staff were really helpful. I recommend staying there.

Nice property room was nice and fairly clean. The area around the hotel was dirty We asked for an iron 4 times and the guy on the desk was not polite about it said it’s in a room and he can’t go and get it. Wasn’t very helpful. We had to go out in un ironed clothes. Also the phone in the room for reception did not work which was not good

At breakfast i was asked to sign for payment. I informed them i already prepaid. She insisted and said it was just for her procedure. At check out i asked about this and was told there was no charge. The person at the counter took payment from my deposit. and only after i requested provided me with a detailed bill. The extra charge was indeed added to the bill. So i was lied to twice even after specifically asking. Then a refund was promised only after providing my bank and personal information. This all seems very suspicious and untrustworthy. I doubt my refund will be sent. And can only hope that my information will not be abused.

The hotel advertised the restaurant and bar as available facilities, but that was false. The restaurant and bar is closed. This was frustrating because this is one of the reasons why people like me reserve hotels with restaurants and bars so we dont have to go far to sit and relax. The gym was not a gym. The gym is located underneath a stairwell. Couple of treadmills, dumbbell rack, and bikes thats it. The biggest frustration was the restaurant and bar was not available. If its not available, then stop advertising that it is just to get customers.

the older rooms are very bad value for money
The hotel has some rooms that are renovated, and some that are not. I was in one of the old rooms and it was noticeable. The bed was very hard, the decor was very old and the air condition was stuck on “very warm” so I had to turn it off.

Unprofessional and RUDE staff blackmark the hotel
Location was excellent. Premises and facilities were awesome. However the reception staff are not only rude, unprofessional and condescending. I am surprised the Mercure Hotel Group are not informed by the eastern european / russian staff who mends the reception and the breakfast venue hosting at on level 10. They are rude, not only to me but to all guests i was watching. We dont feel welcome each time we walk in the lobby nor when we have breakfast

Good for a short stay in la villette
Nice hotel near the Parc de la Villette. Spacy, clean and well-equipped rooms. Kind staff. The whole thing lacks a little character, though.

Staff were very friendly and offered a room change to allow us early check in. However the actual room was not very clean. The carpet was dirty and had stains. The bathroom had marks on the wall and the toilet had stains down. The stains were rusty looking. The beds were clean and comfy. There was no main light in the room just lots of little lamps. Lastly there was lots of different coffees and teas availible however not everyone drinks that. Hot chocolate and more water should be provided for those who do not drink tea or coffee

We had 2 rooms booked with family. It was a very hot summer stay in Paris, the ac barely kept the room cool, it was more like breaking a sweat with the ac on as it was so weak. Breakfast is great and location is ok as it was inside Paris, but neighborhood was so so, but for the price it was reasonable.
