Location was right up the street from the Metro which was great for anyone that has walking problems. The only issue I wasn’t happy with was the street was dirty and full of broken glass when we arrived and a couple low life’s hanging around outside. Hotel room was small but adequate. Staff was very helpful!!

This hotel is tucked up a side street between brothels and sex shops. However the location is very convenient for walking up the hill to Montmartre, it is almost on top of Pigalle metro station, and there's lots of nice bars and restaurants walking just a couple of blocks in the other direction. We had an ensuite, but the shower was not seperate, so everything gets wet. Also the bathroom had a glass door that had just been painted, which only gave the impression of privacy! The staff were very accommodating and were happy for us to leave our bags when we arrived early before check-in, and the day we left so we could wander around. Overall it was a pleasant stay, the best things are the price and location!

It is a descent hotel to stay if you are not afraid to circulate in an area full of bars and sex shops. As a woman I did not feel unsafe even when returning to the hotel after 11 pm. The beds are very large and all essentials are present. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Not suitable if you do not like stairs as there is no lft. The location is very convenient, just a few metres from the Pigalle metro stop. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a back room. The music from the bars below travels right up but I was so tired from walking about all day that I slept right through it on oth nights. In overall, a good place to stay.

Good location, right beside Pigalle metro station. Takes approx 15 mins to get to centre of Paris. Hotel has no elevator and the door to reception is locked every evening which can be very inconvenient. Overall pleased

No toothpaste or shower gel in the bathroom. Have to leave your key at the desk every time you leave and pick it up when you come back in. Otherwise it was okay.

Fine for what I needed it for
I stayed in the tiny room on the 3rd floor. I was only staying one night and the bed was comfortable. Could do with updating a little and maybe investing in a dan as it got very hot in the night

This hotel is good if you want a cheap stay and aren't planning on staying in the hotel much as it is just a room, no lobby for chilling out. The beds are comfy but there is a lot of noise outside so be prepared to be woken a couple of times in the night. The road that the hotel is down is not the best, strip clubs and possibly a brothel opposite. However, standing outside the hotel at night didn't get any trouble. Right next to pigalle train station which was very handy and near local shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and rooms cleaned daily.

Very pleased
My last night in Europe after 3 weeks. I wanted something walking distance to train station and safe. I read the reviews and as nervous. On arrival I was quite pleased. I was able to check in early, the desk manager carried my luggage up three flights of stairs to the room and oriented me to the area. It is not a fancy place but it has every a person needs for a night or two and easy walking to a lot of things. Plus a comfortable bed

Simple, well maintained hotel. I was concerned about shared bathrooms. But only the toilet/WC was shared. There was a shower and sink en suite. It’s a good value for Paris. Good WiFi Near Metro station Very clean Friendly staff Comfortable bed Lots of pluses for such a value hotel.

The hotel is at a good location, very close to the metro station, lots of bars, restaurants and shops are in the proximity. The price is reasonable for the value. The staff was friendly and helpful - we could leave our luggage at the hotel after the checkout, until the afternoon. The room could use a bit of a renewal and sometimes you can feel a musty smell from the staircase, but overall it is clean, just as the bed linen / towels. The bathroom is really small, but manageable. The street-noise can be loud in the evenings, but as the window filters it out sufficiently, we could sleep properly.

More shabby, less chic
EXTREMELY friendly and helpful reception staff and in a great location for exploring Montmarte and a 2 min walk to Pigalle Metro station. However, it is also in the heart of the red light district, so not for those of a more sensitive disposition as the evenings bring with it many curious sights and sounds. The large front facing window of the awesome alternative Kremlin bar across the road makes for great people watching (particularly of the comings and goings of the 1star rated 'gentleman's club' below the hotel). The room is BASIC. A bed, table, TV and chair. No aircon, no safe, no tea/coffee facilities, no fridge. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, but the sheets were clean. The room was not cleaned in the 4 days we were there, but the wet room (with its green spray painted door) was, and toilet paper was stocked daily and towels changed. Hangers are supplied, but there is nowhere to hang them - not even one solitary hook! No, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but in a strange way, I think I may have enjoyed my stay as it has made for an interesting travel story. This hotel was incredibly cheap. You get what you pay for people!

Cute basic hotel, recommend for low-budget
This isn't a fancy hotel but it gets the job done with very clean rooms and showers. It is also a 3 minute walk to Pigalle Metro station and opens into a street with many nice bars, cafes, and shops. This was a good place for the price but I would recommend it for people on a lower budget as it is a little more basic than most hotels. The staff are very friendly and attentive to questions, although make sure to know at least some basic french phrases as some staff do not speak English. The room has comfortable beds and showers, but there is no toilet. There is one common toilet on each floor which is kept clean, just make sure to be aware of the fact that another person may be in there and you might need to wait. If you book, try to get a room that looks out onto the street (if you don't mind some ambient noise), its a nice view onto the street below. There are no elevators so be aware of that if you are bringing more than 1 piece of luggage. Make sure to have some cash on you when you check in as you need to pay some tax (around 3 EUR or so) even if you pay and reserve online. The hotel is in the red light district which isn't a big problem, but may not be to some people's taste. The room is comfortable but limited with furniture (1 cupboard)

You get what you paid for
The hotel is close to a metro station and close to moulin rouge- that’s about it. Bed was uncomfortable and we are sure had bed bugs. The shower, toilet and basin were all in the one space, meaning if you had to shower EVERYTHING would get wet. Night life is quite noisy (pigalle is in the red light district) No safe or kettle Wifi dropped in and out You had to leave the key at reception every time you left which we didn’t like. Staff were friendly though

The area was very undesirable and we felt once in our room, we did not want to go out after 6pm, we wish we had researched the area and hotel more before booking, room was very tiny and bathroom not very pleasant the fact that the shower, sink and toilet were all together, so once having a shower the toilet was drenched.

It's my second time staying at this hotel and I find it very handy and built for the purpose. I needed somewhere in that area which is affordable and comfort. St George's Hotel is very well located in a quiet Road off the main street and offers very comfortable rooms and clean. Despite the fact that this time I had bed bugs eating me alive

Good value, nice people and nearby metro train
People here are nice and friendly, and after checkout they allowed me to put my bags at the reception and even let me stay around the hotel and still able to use their wifi. It's a bit noisy with bars right below (I was on the 1st floor) and some construction opposite, it is also nearby strip clubs and Moulin rouge so some might not be comfortable. No elevator but they helped me with my luggage. The metro station is 50m away so it's very convenient. Room is clean and simple with shower and sink and shared toilet outside. Good experience overall.

not worth it
Overall, I did not like this place. The rooms are a little old and gross, albeit clean. The area is decent until you walk down the street and see numerous consecutive adult stores- not family friendly. I would say it's a great place to simply leave your things while you explore and just come back for a place to sleep etc. However, for the price you're paying, I would expect a little more. Plus I was very uncomfortable leaving my key at the front desk everytime we left the building. The only reason we did not change hotels right away was because it was too late, however, we spent as possible a time here before moving on to somewhere better.

Good enough just for one night
The stairs are very close to collaps, rooms are tiny and a shower is a disaster - your room gets all wet. As they painted the walls the paint is still on the windows and tiles.

this hotel had a cheap price in a prime tourist location. was in a lively area. i had an issue with my room which was resolved by the staff. good view of rooftops as my room was on 5th floor & walked up 5 flights of stairs. i would recommend this hotel for budget in a lively area and just a place to sleep etc.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the action in paris, literally!! Below the hotel is Bar and a few steps are nude show clubs... Hotel is not for family with kids!!! If you are conservative by nature, this is not for you. The hotel needs cleaning especially the floors. This hotel doesnt have lift!!

Good location, interesting set up
It was a great place in terms of location and transport links. Hotel is clean and newly refurbished, really quiet. Got a great good nights sleep there. Bed is comfortable and proper double. Only interesting thing is bathroom. It's a toilet with a glass door with a shower attached to one wall. It was weird as it meant the door was see through. Luckily there was another toilet just outside our room, with a good old wooden door. Otherwise a pleasant stay. Good value for the money.
