Our curtain was broken upon arrival and our ac stopped working the second day. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either. Besides those small hiccups- the location was great, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and the price was reasonable.

Great hotel! I loved checking in and receiving two free drink coins along with the breakfast in the morning. If you stay on the 2nd floor, do know there are a few steps to climb as there isn’t a lift in the building. There is a nice Italian restaurant/bar across the street to go to after the hotel bar closes down.

Hotel was clean, well-maintained, very authentic. Staff was gracious and accommodating to our needs. Our room was on the top floor and rather spacious. Comfortable bed, nice shower and lovely views of Paris rooftops. Did not like the toilet separated from the shower and sink but that is standard in older buildings in France. However, the toilet is not for the claustrophobic. Area is quiet and fronted by a small square that boasts a hotel-affiliated restaurant on one corner and an Italian establishment on another. Property is a mere two blocks from the Strasbourg/Saint Denis metro and the very happening area branching off the historic Port-Saint Denis Arch. Many dining and drinking establishments line the streets of this area. The nearby Rue Blondel features some interesting sights, though not necessarily sights for pearl-clutchers. All in all, I very much enjoyed our stay at the Edgar and Achille Hotel.

Hotel is located in a very convenient area. Metro stations nearby - 0.2 miles from each Strasbourg-Saint Denis - lines 4, 8 & 9 and Réaumur-Sébastopol - lines 3 & 4. It is walkable to the Louvre (about 15 minutes walk). The hotel has a restaurant; we enjoyed breakfast there. There are also many other dining options nearby; however, the area does not feel touristy. Hotel has A/C and a small elevator, so we did not have to carry the luggage up the stairs. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and accommodating.

Staff are incredible, Ray did an awesome job showing us some cool hidden spots that were well worth it. Location is quiet, cute and close to transit walkable to everything you'd want. Rooms are a bit outdated for the price paid, would have liked to have seen some more effort here.
