"Excellent location, Quiet. Kind staff, beautiful view, beautiful room and clean, very nice breakfast. Superb pool area and terrasse overlooking the Douro Valley. I highly recommend. Only downside is the bathroom and toilet is in the bedroom open area. However, there are other bathrooms for more privacy in a well decorated cabin outside the room. "

"Rooms were just okay, quite basic, very stark. The property, lobby, and restaurant were beautiful which was quite a contrast to rooms. Carpet was a bit dirty and musty smell in hallways. Pool and bar area was beautiful. Town was extremely quiet when we were there and unsure of walking around at night. Exceptional wine tour by Bambuti arranged by hotel. Overall a nice stay. "

Bcz house has no number it took a while to find the property. However the customer care was very helpful and we found the location. Also pictures of street and property were sent to help us. "This charming hotel punches way above its two-star rating, Lovely helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast, comfortable, scrupulously clean and thoughtfully-designed rooms offset the fact that the hotel backs onto the railway -- which is the only reason I can think of that the hotel hasn't earned another star. But in truth, there aren't that many trains (evenings are tranquil). An walk from the train station, the hotel is close to a number of good restaurants."
